Hospice Volunteers Needed!
If you are compassionate, caring, and have a calling to help others, becoming a hospice volunteer might be the perfect opportunity for you. Our volunteers give their time, talent and hearts generously and unselfishly - yet commonly feel that they receive more than they give. Description
At Compassus, we share a culture established around three core values: Compassion, Integrity and Excellence.
Hospice offers peace and comfort to patients and their families by reducing the stress, pain and other symptoms of a serious illness. Hospice is not just for the final days of life. it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.
Palliative care helps people with a serious illness feel better - physically, emotionally and spiritually. It focuses on improving quality of life at any stage of illness. Patients can continue curative treatments, and some patients with chronic diseases may move in and out of palliative care as the need arises.
Patients receive treatment in facilities and in their community homes.
