Catholic Chairities, Lake County Services, runs a Food Pantry in Waukegan serving all of Lake County. The primary purpose of the pantry is to provide food, but it is also used as an opportunity to engage with the clients to determine if they need other services. As other needs are identified, the clients are referred appropriately. Records are kept for each client family to ensure that we are following up on all the services each client needs. The records are confidential and extremely important to providing for these low-income clients.
A volunteer is needed to take charge of labeling and filing our casework files. The volunteer would come in on a consistent day for 1-2 hours once a week. The ideal candidate would be organized and comfortable using a computer. Please consider volunteering for this very important function.
