Join the celebration when you volunteer for Dia De Los Muertos! Volunteers will be working alongside staff, teachers, and other volunteers to put on a one of a kind event that celebrates the Latino community here in Lexington. For the Day of the Dead festival, volunteers will be engaging directly with the children and the community, some of the tasks you may be assisting with are as follows:
Assisting with craft activities geared towards children and their parents
Assisting with outdoor community projects (as weather permits)
Preparing Pan de Muerto (bread of the dead) for distribution to guests and distributing bread through the building
Assisting with the candlelight parade (as weather permits)
Serving as a point person who greets guests and provides them maps and directions to the many activities and shows
And other related tasks as assigned
Dia De Los Muertos shifts are 3 hours long and you must be able to serve for the full three hours of your shift.
