The show takes place Thursday-Friday, Nov. 7-8, 2019, and setup will begin as early as Monday, November 4, at the Clayton E. Hutcheson facility on the grounds of Mounts Botanical Garden.

Our foundation is a major sponsor of the Native Plant Show, a sustainability education event hosted by our industry partner, the Florida Association of Native Nurseries (FANN), with support from Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension. The Native Plant Show offers 40 classes and 32 exhibits focused on native plant and sustainable landscaping education. The show theme, Solutions to Save the Planet, is spot on -- native plants are a simple solution anyone can adopt to support pollinators, save water and build resilient communities. About NATIVE PLANT HORTICULTURE FOUNDATION

Location:

1900 S Harbor City Blvd, Ste 221, MELBOURNE, FL 32901, US

Mission Statement

We're working to expand the availability of native plants and native plant professionals so that communities everywhere can achieve true sustainability. Native plants are key components of the natural ecosystems that sustain all life, including ours. When we use more native plants, we can have landscapes that thrive on rainfall, preserve air and water quality, conserve water supply and support wildlife, including pollinators. Today, native plants are not widely available and most landscape services have little knowledge of the plants and how to grow them. With climate change and a rapidly urbanizing planet, there's an urgent need now to expand the supply of native plants and support and develop the next generation of native plant professionals.

Description

We provide & support programs to:

  • expand awareness of native plants and the business of native plants
  • increase the demand for native plants and native landscapes
  • develop and professionalize a new, native plant focused horticulture & landscape industry
  • help students, emerging professionals and career-switchers explore, develop and experience careers with native plants
We work with partner organizations advocating for native plants and sustainability.
