We have "dry" decoration days where we prepare the materials that will be added to the floats, those shifts are open to anyone ages 10 and older. The dry shifts are 4 hours long each and we have a morning shift (8am to noon) and an afternoon shift (1pm to 4:30pm) each weekend day: November 16, 17, 23, 24, and 30, December 1 and 15.
We also have "wet" shifts where the dried material is added to the floats and fresh flowers are processed to be put on the floats. Those shifts are 8 hours long (with lots of breaks!) and are open to volunteers ages 12 and older (ages are firm). We have a morning shift 8am to 4pm and an afternoon shift 4pm to 11pm. Th wet shifts are December 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30.
