The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library is looking for volunteers who are interested in helping during our Old World Christmas Marker, December 7th and December 8th, 2019.
This is a great opportunity to give back to our community this holiday season. Volunteer individually or as a family! It is one of the most fun events of the year!
What is Old World Christmas Market? The market lets you experience the magic of the Christmas season and is our 10th year holding this event. Visitors can shop for specialty imports and handmade gifts by select artisans, stop for seasonal treats, see live music and dance performances, and enjoy free family activities all weekend long. Admission to museum exhibition galleries will also be free on December 7 th and 8th.
We need help with:
Cookie Walk - Only on Saturday, December 7th the museum hosts homemade cookies that are available for purchase. We need help with setting u for the event, guiding the line in the right direction, and helping people gather the cookies they want. This shift is 9AM-11Am, but hours are flexible.
Craft activities- Both days the museum hold family crafts for visitors to create and take home. Shifts are split for half of the day. Saturday 9AM - 1PM or 12:30PM - 4 PM and Sunday 9:30AM - 1PM or 12:30PM - 4PM
Greeting at entrance and clicker - Greet visitors as they arrive and inform them about the activities occurring during the event, as well as, using a clicker to count the number of guests that attend. Saturday 9AM - 1PM or 12:30PM - 4 PM and Sunday 9:30AM - 1PM or 12:30PM - 4PM.
Food will be provided for lunch for any volunteer that signs up!
