I am a part-time Librarian in my second school year at Roosevelt. The collection has become outdated as a result of staff turnover and the passage of time. I am undertaking a complete inventory, significant weeding and reorganization of the library.
My goal is to create an inviting space for browsing and research that supports student academic and recreational engagement.
The job would include sorting and moving books (with the assistance of book carts), processing recycling and organizing supplies.
Depending on interests this opportunity could also include creating displays, cataloging new books, or assembling materials for Library activities.
Tuesdays and Thursdays anytime during the hours of 8:00-3:30 on days when school is in session.

Roosevelt High School is a comprehensive, neighborhood school with strong engagement from stakeholders and community partners. Roosevelt also houses a K-12 virtual school for credit recovery, as well as the MCJROTC Leadership Education Program. Additionally, Roosevelt provides seniors with a full time college counselor to support them as they explore post-secondary opportunities.
