Planned PEThood of GA is a non-profit that helps the animal community in multiple ways. During the week, we provide low cost spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. When a pet is here for surgery, we can also update vaccines, insert microchips and provide flea or heartworm medications. On select Saturdays, we also provide low cost vaccine clinics for the local community to bring their pets in for updated vaccines and services. We never require proof of residency or income for the public to take advantage of our cost saving services.

Many weeks we often seeing hundreds of animals, leading to lots of cleaning time! We need volunteers who don't mind basic household cleaning chores. If you don't mind sweeping or mopping, maybe folding towels or cleaning out kennels, we are looking for you! While the tasks are basic, they need to be repeated over and over through the day and week to keep the clinic clean and running.

Shifts are not locked into a specific time frame. We are happy to work with your schedule either a few hours at a time or in all day increments. Most volunteer work is requested Monday through Friday, although there are two Saturdays a month we could use assistance as well. We can discuss what would work best for you.
