Responsibilities: The Franciscan Center is looking for a development assistant volunteer to help with recording donors' information, partnership inquiries, in-kind donations and other fundraising activities into Raiser's Edge. Additionally, edit or update constituents and prospects’ information, donations and other fundraising interactions into Raiser's Edge.
Volunteer may help with managing acknowledgement letters, assist with preparing and sending donor mailings, appeals, mailing campaigns and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Attention to detail, proficiency in data entry and knowledge of basic computer operations. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is a plus but not required. Will train the right volunteer. A sense of humor is also important!
Supervision: Development Assistant Volunteer will work directly under the Director of Finance/Development for tasks and Volunteer Coordinator for any volunteer related issues.
Time Commitment/ Availability: 1 day a week for 3-5 hours

We serve people in need regardless of age, race, creed or national origin. Some are unable to work due to chronic illness. Some are homeless. Some earn wages below the poverty guideline. Some are members of families who have lost their means of support. Some suffer from mental illness. Some have HIV/AIDS.
Our goal is to give immediate response and relief to our clients' emergency needs and help them resolve the conditions that place them at risk, and grow sustainable lives.
