Scleroderma Foundation Michigan Chapter, SFMC will be hosting our 41st, Stampede Scleroderma Walk and Run at the Detroit Zoo on June 7, 2020. This is a family-friendly event with proceeds benefiting their three-fold mission of support, education and research. With over 10,000 persons living with scleroderma in the state of Michigan, including children, men and women, this fundraiser brings together over 1,100 guests for a morning of walking and running through the city of Huntington Woods, raffles, vendors, snacks, give away's, vendors, entertainment and mascot in the zoo's water tower parking lot and then a day at the zoo.
SFMC is looking a group of people to volunteer to cheer the 5K runners and walkers along the route and to assure that the route is secured. This fun volunteering experience will require that volunteers are aged 12 years and older, able to stand for a period of time, be actively engaged in their surroundings and be friendly to those who are running and walking.
SFMC needs a total of 50 volunteers.
If your office, group, or friends would like to have a fun volunteering experience and then enjoy a day at the zoo, this volunteering experience is for you! To register for this volunteer experience use this link.
