Do you have a talent or skill to share? A contagious passion?
Want an easy way to make a big impact in someone's life?
Do you enjoy being appreciated for your efforts?

Join our team of upbeat, compassionate people who are dedicated to bringing peace and comfort to those with terminal illnesses.

Due to the realities of COVID-19, most of our support for patients and families is currently done from a distance. However, distance volunteering options will always be available, even when COVID-19 is no longer a concern.

At Uni Care, volunteers are welcomed as highly valued and respected members of our team, whether they help virtually and from a distance; in the office; care for patients' pets; help with patients' gardening; help patients write letters or record their life stories; sing, play an instrument, or read to patients; or simply offer a friendly ear. We also love partnering military veterans with our patients who are veterans.

Whether working up close and personal or behind the scenes, we are happy to work around our volunteers' schedules and availability.

We provide a one-day orientation and training that is informative, easy, and fun. We give our volunteers the tools they need to be confident and comfortable in their role with our patients.

Given the right circumstances, death can be a beautiful experience. Knowing death is near can be a gift, as it prompts many to finally make sense of their life story. Peace and reconciliation often occur in profound ways at the end of life. Many terminally ill patients have unique perspectives on how to truly live. We help them find meaning in every moment they still have. We take our mission seriously, but we also have fun partnering with our patients on their journey.

Our team and I look forward to helping you add a meaningful, rewarding experience to your life as a hospice volunteer!
