Teacher's Assistant Volunteer
We’re looking for volunteers to assist in our education program at Sunshine House. This is a great opportunity for anyone, especially those who have an interest in education. You’ll be assisting our Education Coordinator in her classes a few times a week and working with a small group of students, particularly focused on job and life skills. Patience, dedication, and thoughtfulness will be perfect traits of our ideal teacher assistant volunteer.
Your time and attention will be going to helping our clients stay a part of the community and become more independent. The skills students are learning will be instrumental in providing employment, which is such an important component to well-being. Our clients learn all sorts of skills, such as problem-solving, decision-making, time management, reliability, and money management.
