Keep Abilene Beautiful will host it's 3rd annual Texas Arbor Day event. This year's theme is food bearing trees. We will plant 12 - 60 gallon trees in Scarborough Park that when established and mature will provide fruit and nuts to visitors of the park. The food harvested from those trees will also be donated to local organizations.
We look forward to seeing volunteers there to participate in a tree planting demonstration by our resident "tree whisperers". Afterwards our sponsors have graciously donated 60 to 80 trees for some lucky participants to take home and plant in their own yards. We also have a couple of really nice packages to give away to a couple of really lucky participants. Maybe it will be you.
