VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION
Office Volunteer - Events
Description of Project/Purpose of Assignment:
Assist office staff with various administrative duties for affiliate events.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Copying, call answering, outbound phone calls, data entry, office package and mailing processing.
Reports to: Events Coordinator
Supervised by: Office Staff
Time Commitment: Varies. Prefer blocks of time of at least three hours at a time. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Qualifications: High School student or graduate. All ages welcome. Positive attitude and dependable.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or experience in an office setting a plus.
Willingness to learn computer systems for data entry.
Rewards: Doing good work for breast cancer survivors and patients all over the state.
Working with a fun and very grateful staff!

Komen South Florida is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. We join more than a million breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. Through events like the Komen South Florida Race for the Cure, Komen South Florida has invested over $11.6 million in community breast health programs in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties.
Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays in our service area of Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties to fund vital breast health education and breast cancer screening, treatment and patient navigation grants.. The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen Grants Program to fund research.
