Fully sanitize kennels or glass rooms and set up with clean blanket, litter box (in cat rooms), food and water before noon each day. Spot clean with mop and scoop feces throughout the day. Scoop feces from outdoor pens and fields.

Mission Statement

The purpose of Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is to provide animal protection, control, veterinary services and placement services to pet owners and non-owners so they can live in a safe community of responsible pet ownership, free of animal abuse and neglect.

Description

Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is a municipal animal shelter that receives it’s funding from the City, donations from individuals, organizations, and grants. We are an open admission shelter, which means we accept all animals that come to our shelter as long as they are from within the Oklahoma City limits. We also contract with the City of Del City, the Town of Valley Brook and Tinker AFB to provide sheltering services to stray animals from within their city limits. We are also responsible for the enforcement of animal ordinances within Oklahoma City.
