This is an opportunity to volunteer for a extremely fun event with great people. The Raising Hope event is a fundraiser and event to expand the knowledge of Learning Empowered formally known as UMCM Suncoast. The event is full of activities for everyone to go including: silent auction, wine poll, a cupcake decorating contest, an art gallery, a live jazz trio and more.
Our volunteers will help set up and introduce all these events while also running them during the event. This is a one day volunteer opportunity but in the months before the event, the event host will have little gatherings for wine/beer tasting, games and more.

Learning Empowered works to address the causes and obstacles of poverty through innovative educational programs; teaching the mechanisms and tools needed for children, families and individuals to become self-sustaining, positive members of the community with skills needed for employability and for lifelong educational success.
Description
Our programs include four Centers for Early Learning that focus on helping children and families overcome trauma with educational preparedness for children leading up to kindergarten. Offering parents and families parenting skills, soft skills for job readiness and financial literacy. We also offer English Literacy for refugee and immigrant children and families which includes English (ESOL) classes, civics classes and citizenship test preparation.

- One day event of about 9-10 hours. Other times include preparation in months before.
- Must be able to handle bottles, glasses of liquid. Have an outgoing attitude. Be able to lift things off the ground. Welcoming and warm to guests.
