Looking for volunteers with an outgoing and friendly personality to volunteer at our Main Information Desk. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1. Greet all individuals who enter the Medical Center, approach the Information Desk or appear to be unsure of directions. Is friendly (eye contact, smiles) and courteous to all customers.
2. Determine the location they are seeking and provide detailed information (use destination slips when appropriate) to help them find their destinations, escorting people who seem unsure.
3. Distribute documents generated in the Admitting Department.
4. Answer phones and provide room numbers as needed.
5. Escort patients to their assigned destination, occasionally maneuvering wheelchairs.
6. Receive patient mail, identify patient room number, and deliver mail to the patient.
7. Works collaboratively with the staff of the Public Safety Department, assisting with implementation of Visitor Management guidelines and Infection Control policies.
