Become a Wish Granter (California) - Share the Power of a Wish!
Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Wish Granters meet with our wish children and their families in a virtual atmosphere and may assist the wish child with their brainstorming to facilitate the big decision of choosing his/her one true wish! They also work with staff in planning an executing the wishes.
Help us make wishes come true for children and their families throughout our chapter territory. Opportunities exist throughout the chapter, ranging from Northern California into the South Valley Bakersfield area. Chapter also included Northern Nevada.

Mission Statement
Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Description
Our Make-A-Wish chapter grants one wish every three days in the Central California region. Volunteers throughout our chapter support our mission work in wish granting, special events, community relations, corporate fundraising, community awareness and other critical areas. Volunteers work in local communities by impacting the lives of Central California children. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. It is important to note that during this time, we have made volunteer orientations and trainings readily available virtually for the health and safety of everyone.
Wish Granter
Wish Granters work in teams of two as a liaison between a wish family and Make-A-Wish. They help determine a child's wish and play an instrumental role in helping to turn the wish into reality. You must be at least 21 years old, complete Wish Granter training, and be able to make two or more visits to the family during the course of the wish process. Wish Visits have recently become available to do virtually as well.
