Are you interested in learning more about how you can get involved with Canine Companions for Independence? Come to our Volunteer Opportunity Open House and learn about our different volunteer opportunities, talk to staff and see demonstrations of the amazing work our assistance dogs do to enhance independence for their human partners every day.
Individuals interested in working directly with our dogs must complete mandatory training. The next training sessions will be held in the month of December, and more details will be shared at the Open House.
Any individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for all training and volunteer shifts.

Canine Companions is a national non-profit organization that provides expertly trained service dogs and a lifetime of follow-up services - completely free of charge - to children, adults and veterans with disabilities so they can lead lives with greater independence.
