Did you know that 70% of a diagnosis is based off of what we find out from lab tests? Would you like to be part of a critical volunteer team in our hospital that picks up specimens from various sites in the hospital and gets them to the lab in a timely fashion? Because of these volunteers our turnaround times are in the hours vs. days. You can revel in the knowledge that what you do has an extremely positive impact on patient satisfaction and departmental and hospital goals.
This assignment if perfect for anyone who is not too squeamish, wants to experience the internal workings of a lab and has availability for a 4 hour shift in the morning or afternoon for one day between Monday and Friday.

St. Luke's is 550 bed acute care hospital. We are nationally recognized for our heart services. Three out of four babies in our region are born in our hospital. We are the first CARF accredited Rehabilitation Unit in Iowa. We are the state leader in robotic surgeries.
