The Greenburgh Nature Center is hosting it's first Fall festival in 3 years! The event will be filled with a Halloween scavenger hunt, apple cidering demos, crafts, live music, games, animal meet and greets, a costume parade and tons more family fun. We are looking for volunteers who can help us set up all of the pumpkins and hay bales prior to the event. We are looking to have volunteers for a shift in the early morning to help set up pumpkins all around our property (7am-10am). Description
The Greenburgh Nature Center (GNC) is a 33-acre nature preserve with trails, a pond, an old orchard succession site, and gardens. More than 70,000 visitors come to the GNC each year. The property is a significant wildlife habitat refuge, both for indigenous species and for the hundreds of species of migratory birds that use it as a resting place on their spring and fall travels.
The GNC hosts birthday parties and special programs for groups of all ages on a wide range of environmental topics, either here or at off-site locations. We also offer numerous outreach and on-site environmental education programs for children, adults, and families.
M-Thur: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Weekends: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Fridays
