SCORE volunteers provide confidential business mentoring services, both in person and online. We lead seminars and workshops to help small business owners meet their goals and achieve success. We help expand outreach of SCORE through marketing and alliance building in our local communities. We provide subject matter expertise by industries and professional skills.
As a volunteer at SCORE Central Coast, you can make a direct impact on your community with your skills and experience. We have mentoring opportunities in both Santa Cruz and Monterey.

Description
SCORE Central Coast Business Mentors is dedicated to assisting current and aspiring business owners of Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties with free mentoring from experienced volunteer business mentors. Mentors guide clients with one-on-one meetings on topics such as writing a business plan, finding financing, marketing, financial projections and more. We offer high value workshops on a variety of topics such as social media marketing and entity formation.

- Must be at least 21
- Orientation or Training
- SCORE Mentors can schedule as many or as few client meetings as they wish. Mentor meetings typically last one hour. An initial online volunteer orientation and volunteer email setup require 1.5-2 hours.
- Mentors must enter notes about their meetings in our volunteer system to ensure that all clients are being served. Optional activities include a monthly chapter meeting, and volunteering as a workshop presenter or workshop assistant.
