Deliver Meals to Seniors on the Main Line Once a Week

Meals on Wheels is in need of clients to deliver meals to seniors in the Main Line area of Philadelphia. Meals are picked up from Temple Beth Hillel Beth El and delivered to nearby clients.
These meals help older adults eat right, while providing food security for seniors who can not afford groceries or do not have the mobility to shop and cook for themselves.
Meals can be delivered any day Wednesday to Friday during the week. Volunteers who can commit to a regular once-a-week schedule for most weeks are especially helpful.
Drivers also function as friendly visitors for seniors, who may not get a lot of visitors during the week, as well as the eyes and ears of our program, letting us know when our clients may have other needs that we can assist them with.

Description
RSVP/Philadelphia coordinates opportunities for people 55 and older, working or retired, to use their skills, talents, wisdom and experience to make a difference through volunteer activities.
RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, sponsored by the Klein JCC with support from the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and is operated on a nonsectarian basis.
