Patient Support Volunteer
1 person is interested
Our patient support volunteers make regular visits with their assigned patient and focus on building relationships with the patient and their families. Our patients are either in their home or at a nursing home facility. Patient support volunteers provide companionship, emotional support, and presence to our hospice patients through these visits. Patient volunteers can also help run errands for family, as needed. No experience necessary, only a desire to help those in need. Full training is provided.
About Compassionate Care Hospice An Amedisys Company
138 Canal Street, Pooler, GA 31322, US
We honor those we serve with compassionate hospice and personal care services that apply the highest quality clinical practices toward allowing our patients to maintain a sense of independence, quality of life and dignity.
Services offered by the hospice volunteers are as varied as the needs of the patients and families. All hospice volunteers receive specialized training by me before assignment to patients and families. There is no area of hospice where the expertise and enthusiasm of the volunteer is not a valuable asset.
We'll work with your schedule.
