Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chattahoochee Valley is an opportunity for a volunteer to mentor youth in our community. The volunteer will be able to expose the child to things they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience, such as a trip to the museum or a walk along the Riverwalk. The Community-based mentoring program involves spending 8 hours a month with a youth.
We also have a Site-based mentoring program for volunteers that involves matching a volunteer with a child at either a local school. For the school sites, the mentor will visit the site of the youth and mentor them 1 day a week for 1 hour. Our Site-based program involves spending 4 hours a month with a youth.
We have children on our waitlist who are waiting for a positive role model. Please consider being that Big Brother or Big Sister to positively impact a child's life.

Mission Statement
To create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest mentoring program around with over 110 years of service with approximately 300 agencies nationally and internationally. We provide free one-to-one mentoring for children in the community. We match children with a volunteer also known as a Big Brother or a Big Sister based on the gender of the child. We ask that our Big Brothers and Big Sisters spend at least 8 hours a month with the Little. We encourage the Bigs to incorporate the Little’s hobbies as well as their own into fun inexpensive activities.
