The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to support coordination of volunteers between the Red Cross and VA Health Care Facilities in the local area.

Tasks: Become trained to ensure all potential volunteers are registered with the local Red Cross unit and receive volunteer orientation. Act as liaison between a VA and the local Red Cross. Help recruit volunteers in accordance with facility needs. Attend and participate in quarterly VA meetings. Facilitate volunteer placement in coordination with the VA Program Manager.

Qualifications: Basic computer and organizational skills. Ability to communicate and work on a team. Ability to show initiative and work independently. Program management experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass a background check. Willingness to complete volunteer training.

Time: Complete American Red Cross and VA Orientation. Commit to one year of volunteer service in this position.

Location of work: Red Cross near the corner of Packard and Golfside and VA Hospital near the corner of Fuller Rd and Huron Parkway.
