Volunteer with Girls on the Run NYC for the end-of-season 5K Celebration!
The Girls on the Run NYC 5K celebrates our program participants and their 10-week season of learning about the importance of taking care of our emotional and physical health. As girls from across the city come together to achieve their goals on 5K day, they depend on volunteers like you to help them shine!
All volunteers must complete a background check (paid by GOTR NYC). Details to follow in your volunteer registration confirmation email.

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Description
Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running & movement-based games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
