This is a typical swimming competition between the city teams that are part of the ICSA. They will be competing against each other, as well as the clock, for the best times in each stroke as well as two relay events and the Individual Medley.

Volunteer Duties:
Volunteer duties will vary depending on what is needed. They could include timing, ribbon writing, running cards from timers to the scorers and taking children to their designated swimming lanes.

Volunteer Impact:
Volunteers will be contributing to their city by facilitating competitive swimming which includes team building, swimming skills and a sense of ownership of city facilities and programs. Swim teams also develop young people and teach them valuable life skills for adulthood.

Work Environment:
Volunteers will be mostly inside on the pool deck which will be warm and humid. Some volunteers will be outside of the pool area where conditions may vary. Please plan accordingly.

Volunteer Requirements:
The minimum age for volunteering is 14 years old. All volunteers will need to complete a release form. Those under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian signature.

Special Instructions:
We will supply everything needed for all volunteer jobs at the swim meet. Volunteers should wear cool, loose fitting clothes as they will be inside a warm, steamy pool environment or outside where conditions vary. Parking will be tight at Pullen.

Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If you are interested in registering as a group, please use the "Register as a Group" button. You will then need to email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov the names of the volunteers from your organization who plan on attending. This is to ensure groups are not reserving spots that they do not have actual volunteers for.

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
