Join City of Raleigh Parks staff as we plant bulbs at Nash Square.
Volunteer Impact:
Volunteers will be planting bulbs that will bloom to provide a beautiful park aesthetic for patrons.
Work Environment:
We will be working outside so please dress for the weather! The ground will be uneven and it has the possibility to get very active in the park so noise could be an issue. There are restrooms on site.
Special Information:
We will provide tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to participate. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer release form. If any volunteer is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian will need to sign as well.
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.
Per department policy this event cannot count towards court-appointed or suggested community service hours.
