About us
At Catholic Charities, our vision is to improve the lives of those we serve, to empower the most vulnerable, and to help reduce poverty through quality, compassionate, and effective human services.
Adult Day Services provides adults with special needs a healthy daytime environment and the opportunity to go home to family each evening. Our program enables otherwise isolated individuals to find new joy and companionship, while their families can rest knowing their loved one is cared for, safe and engaged in stimulating activities.
Our Members -many who have suffered from a stroke, arthritis, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, as well as developmental disabilities- benefit from professional nursing care, socialization and physical activities, and bathing services.
We could not do what we do without the help of our volunteers!
As a volunteer at Catholic Charities’ Adult Day Center, no two days will be the same. In our welcoming, home-like environment, volunteers will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our members through long conversations or actively participating in puzzles, balloon volleyball, or their favorite game, Farkle (Don’t worry! We will teach you how to play!).
We welcome you share your talents and skills with our members, staff, and other volunteers as well. In the past, volunteers have shared their musical talents (singing or an instrument) and have brought knowledge from their studies or professions (art therapy, occupational therapy, certified nursing etc.).

Description
Catholic Charities mission to "provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same" has been the core of our work since 1920. We measurably improve the lives of the poor in our communities and empower them to reach their full potential. When we accomplish this, lives are transformed and the benefits to the community can be exponential starting by improving the quality of life one person at a time.
With an outpouring of support from the community, we are able to help the poorest among us. We help people of all faiths, ages and cultures improve their ability to be self-sufficient, raise a family in more stable and healthy homes, escape violence, cope with emotional and behavioral challenges, and overcome barriers to a better life.Our Programs and Services:
