Come help us celebrate the Fall season at an event for all ages. Join us for a fun-filled evening of games, activities, arts & crafts, and so much more.

Volunteer Duties:
You will be assigned to a game, activity or craft area when you arrive. Duties will include setting-up and supervising activities, games, and arts and crafts for participants of all ages, and talking with children and parents. Prizes will be given out during the games and you may help with refreshments as well as break down of all the games and equipment. If you have a special interest, please let us know and we will try to match you up accordingly.

Volunteer Impact:
This is a one-day special event for youth ages 12 and under. Volunteers will help with set-up/breakdown of event. They will help instruct/supervise a variety of themed activities, games, craft projects, art exhibits, and so much more. Volunteers will also help with serving snacks to the participants during the program.

Work Environment:
The work environment can be loud, mildly physical, and will be indoors. We are looking to have children of all ages participate in this one day special event. There will be a restroom on site.

Volunteer Requirements:
The minimum age requirement is 15 years old. A welcome and walk through will be held an hour before the event starts to give all volunteers a safety plan in case of an emergency. All volunteers must sign a release form. Those under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian signature.

Special Instructions:
We will send information regarding parking for all volunteers. We will send this info out the week before the special event starts. More information will be giving on what to wear along with other instructions listed above. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Group Registration Information:
Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. A group leader must email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
