ORGANIZATION: Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

Patrick Doughtery, stick sculpture artist, will be utilizing volunteers in every step of the process during the design and installation of Stickwork. Descriptions of each phase are listed below. There are two shift times for each day, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Harvesting Phase (November 4th - 6th): Cutting, bundling, tying, carrying bundles to the truck

Construction Phase (November 7th - 22nd): Weaving under the artist's direction, fetching bundles of sticks, helping clean up each evening

There are extra shifts just for assisting with leaf stripping (November 7th - 14th) during the beginning of the construction phase.

No volunteers under the age of 16. Some volunteers working during the construction phase will need to be comfortable working on a scaffold.
