Chapter Support Volunteer: Use your skills to help a local nonprofit support entrepreneurs

Every SCORE chapter depends on the talent and time of administrative volunteers to help set up and run events, to coordinate public workshops, and to perform other administrative tasks that assist the chapter in reaching its goals. These roles do not have direct client responsibilities.

During the Covid-19 epidemic, all administrative volunteer work can be safely completed using virtual conferencing tools, which we can train you to use. More than ever, small businesses are under significant financial and operational strain due the pandemic. For many it will be like starting over. If you would like to make a difference in your local community, now is the time to join the SCORE team!

We’re currently looking for volunteers to work on specific projects. These volunteers are staffed based on their unique skills and are welcome to assist with leadership and chapter support tasks-they really are the backbone of the organization. For example, you could be assigned to assist with email marketing, networking and social media tasks, in support of your local business community. Other opportunities could involve data analytics, pulling reports, or serving in other capacities that will make your local chapter more effective.

Examples of chapter support roles include Community Ambassador, Partnerships & Fundraising, Media Contact for Local PR, Marketing, Chapter Administrator, Webmaster, and more.
