Ascend Hospice is offering volunteer opportunities for compassionate, empathetic individuals who want to enhance their lives by giving their time to others in their community. Ascend Hospice also utilizes the gifts and talents of alternative practitioners, such as massage therapists, reiki therapists, pet therapists and music therapists. Volunteers receive extensive training; hours range from one to two hours per week and a commitment of one year.

Description
Hospice volunteers bring comfort, joy and love to patients who are terminally ill through their actions.
Volunteers simply need a caring heart and a willingness to serve. The extensive volunteer training program provides them with an awareness of patient's needs and prepares them to participate with the hospice team.
