Ascend Hospice is seeking talented musical volunteers. Do you like to sing? Do you play a musical instrument?
If so please respond to our ad. We are looking for musical volunteers to sing or play to our clients on hospice services. We would love to hear from you, no talent is too small!
Music provides avenues for communication that can be helpful to those who find it difficult to express themselves in words. Research in music supports its effectiveness in many areas such as: overall physical rehabilitation and facilitating movement, increasing people's motivation to become engaged in their treatment, providing emotional support for clients and their families, and providing an outlet for expression of feelings.
Please note you must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer.

Description
Hospice volunteers bring comfort, joy and love to patients who are terminally ill through their actions.
Volunteers simply need a caring heart and a willingness to serve. The extensive volunteer training program provides them with an awareness of patient's needs and prepares them to participate with the hospice team.
