Hello,
We all know how "great" we feel on the "inside" after a haircut! It makes your self confidence rise and you feel like a "million bucks". Here at River City Hospice, we strive to help our patients have the same access to that feeling, and blissful moment of a "fresh" haircut.
We’re currently looking for a few current or former Cosmetologists, who would like to take some time and volunteer in providing haircuts to Hospice patients. At the time a patient becomes Hospice eligible they’ve most likely discontinued traveling and running errands, leaving them without the chance of getting a haircut. This is a need, and we would love to have you volunteer with us at River City, if you believe this is a good opportunity for you or someone you know, please feel free to reach out!

We believe in the basic right of all patients to competent nursing care. Much can be accomplished medically, physically, psychologically and socially to enable patients to lead a more comfortable and functional life. A hospice care plan is designed for each patient utilizing insight from the family, our nurses, hospice team and in conference with the physician.
