We are looking for amazing volunteers who can visit our patients and provide companionship. A companion volunteer would be responsible for talking with our patient, playing cards, reading to them or something as simple as lending a hand to hold. The volunteer would be assigned to one or multiple patients depending on their availability. A typical visit time depends on how long you can visit and how often you can see the patient.
We serve a 60 mile radius from our office in Green Bay. We go to wherever our patients lives at this time of their life. Which can include assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or their home.
When becoming a volunteer you will complete the on boarding process which includes a mandatory drug test and TB blood draw paid for by AseraCare. All volunteers are trained on all things hospice prior to becoming a volunteer as well.
When becoming a volunteer we hope you choose to stay at least 6 months of longer!
