My Girlfriend's House, Inc

My Girlfriend’s House is looking for a Secretary to add to their Board of Directors. Our organization works with middle and high school young ladies in DC, MD, and VA to help enrich their lives. In our organization, we work together hoping to make a positive impact and huge strides in our community.

The Secretary of the Board plays a critical role in maintaining the organization’s efficiency through proper supervision and management of organization logistics, meetings, and records. His/Her board responsibilities will be as such:

  • Ensures effective management of MGH’s bylaws and documents.
  • Manages minutes of Board meetings
  • Complies data to comply with financial, legal and administrative requirements
  • Coordinates material distribution
  • Provides advice and resources to the Board on various topics
  • Offers administrative support

Must have at least 5 years of professional secretarial and leadership experience for this position.

As an organization of professional women, our mission is to improve the lives of the middle and high school teen girls we mentor with personal care items, school supplies and clothing and to prepare them for the adult/working world with mentoring, internship and college scholarship assistance.

Description

My Girlfriend’s House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of professional women dedicated to both community service and friendship.

We work to improve the lives of at-risk middle and high school young ladies in Maryland, Virginia and D.C., with personal care items, school supplies and clothing, and helps them prepare for adulthood and the workplace with scholarships, mentoring and internship opportunities.
