Victory Programs’ Boston Living Center is honoring 30 years of service to community members living with HIV/AIDS at our annual Celebration of Life! This year’s theme, "Homecoming," recognizes the many ways in which the Center has served as a "Home away from Home" for so many members over the years.
Celebration of Life dates back to 1988, when a small group of friends living with HIV gathered to share a meal and solidarity in the face of what was then an emerging, deadly disease. Celebration of Life is also our largest annual fundraiser for the Boston Living Center. The funds raised help to ensure the life-affirming services remain available for nearly 1,000 Boston Living Center members each year.
Volunteer Opportunities
We rely on more than 200 volunteers to help make Celebration of Life a special experience for our guests. The event includes a variety of volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals to help with event set-up during the day and other roles throughout the event such as coat check and juice bar.
Dinner is served by a special group known as TIPS Servers, who each commit to raise at least $300 for the Boston Living Center as part of their volunteerism. Every dollar raised goes directly to member services at the Boston Living Center which includes nutritional services and meals, wellness, education, and peer support. For general information about Volunteering at the Celebration of Life please contact:
