Help keep families warm throughout the winter season. Our Harbor Light Center is looking for groups of up to 10 people to help throughout the Christmas season to sort coats to be distributed to hundreds of adults experiencing homelessness this winter. Must be at least 16 years old.

When: Now through November 22; Call us at 612-767-3100 to sign up
Distribution dates: November 22 and December 23 from 11am-2pm
Where: Harbor Light Center, 1010 Currie Ave., Minneapolis

Description

The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services.
