We are seeking volunteers who would like to mentor students in grades 3-5 in English-Language Arts!
You would meet weekly with 2-3 students who have been identified as struggling readers. We will provide literature for the club, as well as weekly activities to complete together to enhance their learning and understanding.

About STEM FOR EVERY CHILD INC
Location:

Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower underserved children to explore and learn using STEM-based technology and resources.
Description
STEM is not just a buzz word in the education field, it is an all-encompassing idea of educating students in four specific disciplines - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Unlike the traditional method of teaching these subjects separate from each other, STEM focuses on integrating them together into hands-on real-world projects called PBL (Project Based Learning). STEM requires students to use problem-solving skills, and to think about the world around them in a different way, and it can start in the early years when a child first enters elementary school.
STEM for Every Child, Inc. is registered within the state of Georgia and is a federally approved 501(c)3 nonprofit. Because we are just getting established, we have kept our reach close to Tucker & Decatur, as well as a few in Atlanta Public Schools. Our dream is to impact every Title 1 school across metro Atlanta.
We are seeking volunteers who would like to run aftercare coding clubs through our partnership with Girls Who Code. This would be an 8 week, once a week, 1.5 hour requirement.
