Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our 5K run. We would love to have you join us this year on Saturday, November 16 at Zoo Miami! Please note that if you are under the age of 16 you will need an adult chaperone.
Volunteers will need to arrive by 5:45 am and will leave around 11 am.
Please let me know if you’re interested in supporting the CBC as a volunteer and send the following information:

- Age
- Phone Number
- T-Shirt Size (male or female)
Anyone else you may know that’s interested in volunteering should email me at julissa@childbereavement.org and send the same information. If they’re under 16 years old they will need to be accompanied by a chaperone, but that can be done in groups (1 chaperone for 4 adolescents).
We hope you can join us this year for a fun and meaningful morning at Zoo Miami!

Mission Statement
The Children’s Bereavement Center mission is to help children, young adults, and their families adjust to life after the loss of a loved one within a supportive community of their peers, and to promote healthful grief, healing and growth.
Description
The Children's Bereavement Center provides free Peer Support Groups for children, young adults, and adult caregivers after the death of a loved one. Groups are open to anyone who has lost a parent, sibling, grandparent, relative, or friend as a result of illness, accident, suicide, or homicide. Losses can be recent or in years past. Groups are held on Monday evenings in Coconut Grove, Tuesday evenings in Miami Shores and Palm Beach, and Wednesday evenings in Doral and Broward throughout the school year. Groups are open to children age 5 through young adult as well as adult caregivers. Adult support groups are available in both English and Spanish. Free pizza dinner is also provided prior to groups. Families must attend Orientation (held monthly) prior to attending. Participants can contact the CBC office at 305-668-4902 for information or to register.
The Children’s Bereavement Center provides our Bereavement Support Groups at locations in Miami-Dade and Broward, and Palm Beach.
