Do It Green! Minnesota is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to host monthly community environmental events. This will include the planning and hosting the event, researching topics and coordinating with other environmental organizations and businesses to collaborate with. The position requires about 10-15 hours of work a month, and the availability to consistently host a monthly event. All Do it Green members assist in finding Green Gifts Fair vendors, donors, contributors and assisting with general fair tasks. Do It Green! Minnesota is a local nonprofit, dedicated to educating Minnesotans on how to live sustainably. Each year, they host the Green Gifts Fair, a fun and eco-friendly way to start the holidays, with more than 100 vendors, live music, green living demos, a silent auction, a family activity area, and more! This year the Green Gifts Fair is being held at the Midtown Global Market on Saturday, November 23rd. Our theme this year is #MyGreenCommunity -- inspiring and supporting our local and global communities.
Duties
- Plan monthly Green Coffee Talks
- Attend fall monthly Green Gifts Fair planning meetings
- Work collaboratively with other Do it Green! Minnesota team members
- Provide support during the Green Gifts Fair
Ideal qualifications
- Previous event planning or outreach experience
- Previous experience working with a nonprofit
- Interest or passion in sustainable practices
- Dedication to community engagement

We provide sustainability education through our printed guidebook Do It Green! Magazine, our website www.doitgreen.org, community projects and skillshares, special events, and our Resource Kiosk at the Midtown Global Market. We are a volunteer-run organization, and we are always in need of members of the community to help us in our sustainability efforts.
