The Survivant Organization (TSO), a domestic and sexual violence non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, is looking for VIRTUAL RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS (living IN THE DC METRO AREA) at least 21 years of age! Below is a description of the position:
RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers will provide administrative and research support to staff. Duties include: assisting, reviewing, and preparing literature for all methods of outreach (e.g. website, Facebook page, etc); finding and sharing up to date relevant information using all methods of outreach; creating discussion boards for interested parties. Individuals must be comfortable with keeping up a correspondence via email, phone, and internet.
Qualifications: Strong organizational skills; interest in research. Familiarity with loading documents onto the internet a plus.
We really believe in our project so if you are interested in getting started with our team, we are looking for dedicated, reliable women who want to affect change and work to achieve gender equality around the world. It will be an awesome experience. This is a NON-PAYING opportunity but hours worked may qualify for community service or course/internship credit if applicable. You must CURRENTLY LIVE in the DC METRO AREA to be ELIGIBLE for this opportunity. We want to establish relationships now so that when the pandemic restrictions are lifted, we can begin filming again.

The Survivant Organization works to eradicate domestic and sexual violence among young women aged 16-24 through research, interactive education, and advocacy.
Description
The Survivant Organization (TSO) is a newly formed non-profit dedicated to eradicating domestic and sexual violence in females aged 16-24 through research, interactive education, and advocacy. One in every four women will experience domestic and/or sexual violence. But girls in this age range are four times more likely to experience these kinds of violence over any other age group. TSO implements programs that increase awareness, create safety plans, facilitate legal representation, and provide additional neccessities for survivors on their journey to recovery. Every woman we assist will be provided with holistic solutions, guiding survivors towards a life free from violence and abuse.
