Want to help children in the Live Oak community recieve equal access to education opportunities? Become a volunteer tutor! Live Oak Community Resources provides free, one-on-one tutoring for elementary and middle school children who needs help in math, writing or reading. We strive to provide quality tutoring to families that may not be able to afford other tutoring services. As a tutor, you will volunteer at our Community Resources Center on 17th Ave where you will work one-on-one with one or two students in an after-school classroom. The program is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at either 2:45pm, 3:30pm, or 4:15pm. We will work with your schedule!
Additionally, we will work with you and your interests to pair you with a student that needs help in the subject of your choice.
This tutoring opportunity allows you to complete community service hours, gain job experience, buffer up your college application, expand your network in the community, and have fun while helping a child grow!
