LCS

Lantern Community Services is an organization that champions the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who were formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care through supportive housing. Our programs - which have proven results in health, employment, education and life skills - are delivered inside our residences and tailored to each person’s needs.

In encouraging the personal and professional growth of residents at Lantern, we are looking for a tutor to help residents pass the NEDP test. The National External Diploma Program (NEDP) is an applied performance assessment system that assesses the high school level skills of adults and out-of-school youth. Many of our residents have started to prepare on their own but need help to complete this demanding goal.
