Event Planner and Meal Coordinator

Do you like to plan events? Do you have experience in planning events?
Do you like helping your community and making a difference?
Are you a take-charge person that needs little supervision?
Are you creative? Do you know how to work within a budget?
Can you plan a menu?
Our events are a social event that always includes live music. (we have a list of musicians that volunteer)
Our goal is to increase attendance and share our mission while helping those in need of a healthy meal.

Are you available on the second Wednesday of the month from 9 am to 3 pm? (Event time)
at least 80 % of the time on that day. VFW Hall at 32 Edwards Street, In Patchogue.
We are putting together a team of volunteers that will exclusively work on planning and executing our meal events. (Please Note: You do not need to have all the above skills) Passion goes a long way!
You will work under the supervision of the board of directors and within the rules of the organization.
You will need time to give to plan the events as well as coordinating the events.
At this time it is once a month, however, that may change as we move forward. We are now part of the Patchogue Wellness Center and will be developing programs and classes on wellness.
We have office space at that location.

We are unique in many ways, one main difference to keep in mind, is that we serve all people and
we have no separation. If a guest is in need (they pay what they can) for our meals, regardless of what a person can give, they will receive a meal. If a guest can pay then they will give the suggested donation, and maybe a bit more to help cover the cost of a guest in need. All people have a place at our table.
