Children's Room volunteers embody the "jack of all trades" and are required to shelf read and help at the desk as needed. They may also be asked to help with special events where there is not enough staff to oversee the number of attendees. This opportunity is great for those who want experience with children in a structured environment that promotes learning and creativity.

Mission Statement

The Cleveland Bradley County Public Library provides informational resources, programs, and services for the personal enrichment, education, and enjoyment of all citizens and for the betterment of the community.

We seek to be a gathering place where all citizens are welcome to pursue their interests, expand their ideas, learn new skills, interact with other members of the community, and enhance their quality of life.

Our library has grown exponentially over the years, beginning in 1922 in the historic Craigmiles House before moving across the street to the Jarnagin House in 1987. In 2001, the library expanded with the addition of the Children's Room and new Circulation Desk, and staff are currently working on transforming the recently donated Carmichael House into a MakerSpace that will hopefully be open to the community in the near future.

We'll work with your schedule.
