Shelf Readers are the backbone of the library's organization; their job is to ensure that materials are alphabetized properly on the shelves so that patrons can easily find what they are looking for. Shelf Readers also help the library know how many items are being used at the library but not taken home and provide basic customer service as needed to keep the library a warm and welcoming space.

About Cleveland Bradley County Public Library

Location:

795 Church Street NE, Cleveland, TN 37311, US

Mission Statement

The Cleveland Bradley County Public Library provides informational resources, programs, and services for the personal enrichment, education, and enjoyment of all citizens and for the betterment of the community.

Description

We seek to be a gathering place where all citizens are welcome to pursue their interests, expand their ideas, learn new skills, interact with other members of the community, and enhance their quality of life.

Our library has grown exponentially over the years, beginning in 1922 in the historic Craigmiles House before moving across the street to the Jarnagin House in 1987. In 2001, the library expanded with the addition of the Children's Room and new Circulation Desk, and staff are currently working on transforming the recently donated Carmichael House into a MakerSpace that will hopefully be open to the community in the near future.
