POSITION PROFILE: The Food Ops Holiday Volunteer Leader assists with our food operations. Essential tasks include sorting canned goods, building boxes, and stocking shelves in order for clients to be able to shop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sort and organize food to be placed on market shelves
  • Train and assist Food Ops volunteers
  • Commit to 6 shifts (3-4 hours in length)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Attend orientation session
    • Work with a diverse population
  • Skill Requirements:
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Helpful to have the ability to lift and sort canned and boxed food items
